The Ordinary Buffet Copper Peptides 1% Multi-Technology Peptide Serum Review
Copper compounds in skin care products is a rather new concept. I am still dabbling with using extreme chemicals on my face such as acids and peptides, but so far, I am enjoying their results, so I think I will continue experimenting with them while being cautious. When these chemicals are used in the right concentration and in combination with right co-ingredients, they prove beneficial for skin. I have been using this “Buffet Copper Peptides” serum from the brand “The Ordinary,” and so far, I am loving the results.
The “Buffet” + Copper Peptides 1% formula differs from our original “Buffet” as this formula includes a 1% concentration of pure Copper Peptides, increasing its focus on overall skin health. The natural role of these peptides as found in human plasma includes supporting a wide range of skin health functions like maintaining normal immune function, collagen synthesis.
My Experience with The Ordinary Buffet Copper Peptides 1% Multi-Technology Peptide Serum:
I heard about copper compound as a skin care ingredient after skin care gurus started raving about face serum from the brand NIOD. Since that serum is slightly more on the higher end, I never got around to trying it. I am glad The Ordinary came up with a more affordable option. I have been regularly applying this serum for a few weeks now and so far I have good things to say about it.
The packaging of this product is pretty and practical. It comes a 30 ml, glass bottle (dark color glass bottle) which is practical and serves the purpose well. The cap has a dropper which dispenses the appropriate amount of product for one-time use. The serum is blue in color because of copper in it and appears weird the first time but it grows on you.
This face serum or buffet is designed to combat ageing or signs of ageing. It claims to contain copper peptides, also known as GHK-Cu (Copper Tripeptide-1), Matrixyl 3000 peptide complex (with palmitoyl tetrapeptide-7), Matrixyl synthe’6 peptide complex (with palmitoyl tripeptide-38), SYN-AKE peptide complex (with dipeptide diaminobutyroyl benzylamide diacetate), Relistase peptide complex (with acetylarginyltryptophyl diphenylglycine), Argirelox peptide complex (with acetyl hexapeptide-8, pentapeptide-18) and a Probiotic complex (with Lactococcus lactis lysate), solubilized in a base of 11 skin-friendly amino acids and multiple forms of hyaluronic acid. These list of chemicals sounds complex but they are naturally found in human plasma and are essential for maintaining normal immune function, collagen synthesis, fibroblast production and anti-inflammatory responses. All this information sounds a bit complex, but so long as this serum performs as expected, it works for me.
I use this serum as part of my 10-step Korean skin care routine. I use it after cleanser but before toner and essence. The product has no fragrance, it is lightweight and easy to spread on face. Just a couple of drops are enough to cover and face. It does not interfere with the following skin care steps. The Ordinary recommends that up to three different skincare products by the brand can be layered. I recommend this buffet to all those who are looking for potent and affordable anti-aging skincare serum.
After weeks of use, it gave a more vibrant look to my skin. It is an affordable face serum and is perfect for first-time users. It has some potent compounds which will work well at combating early signs of ageing.
