NYX Total Control Drop Foundation Brush Review
Product purchased by IMBB
Recently, I had picked up NYX Total Drop Foundation and Huda Beauty Faux Filter Foundation. As these both are liquid foundations and also because I am not an expert at blending liquid foundations with sponge, I decided to invest in a foundation brush. This Total Control Drop Foundation from NYX was available on sale and I went ahead and picked it up. Read on to know more details on this foundation brush.
Take your complexion from flat to fierce using the Total Control Drop Foundation Brush. Designed to blend total control drop foundation beautifully, our ultra-soft and flexible brush reaches every part of that gorgeous face. This angled synthetic brush curves inward slightly, which allows it to fit around the natural curves of the face and in those hard to reach spots.
My Experience with NYX Total Control Drop Foundation Brush:
There is nothing to talk about the packaging. It came in a transparent plastic pouch. The brush has a round, black, solid, plastic handle. It is easy to hold and work with. The finish is sleek and glossy.
The bristles are densely packed. They are firm but do not feel rough on the skin at all. These are synthetic bristles which do not feel harsh against the skin. There is no shedding of bristles even when they are washed.
The bristles are off-white in color with a grey tip. It is not a flat top brush. Rather, it is slanted, with a dent in the middle. It allows the foundation to be blended easily on the cheeks and at the bends of the jaw bone and forehead. The pointed tip makes it easy to blend the product at the corners of the eyes and nose. Also, the size is perfect for any shape and size.
It blends liquid foundations very well. I generally do not prefer pouring foundation directly on to the brush as it often leads to product wastage. I apply the foundation on the face, let it be semi-dry and then blend it out. This foundation blends the products easily and does not soak up too much product. The finish is not streaky at all and looks flawless. It also blends my liquid under-eye highlighter and contour products. I have never tried using it with cream foundation,, but I think it will be able to do that too.
Overall, this is a good foundation brush which blends the foundation well without being harsh against the skin.
