LA Colors Moisture Cream Lipstick Voluptuous Review
Skin Tone: Medium fair, warm undertones
I have hauled a few lipsticks from L.A. Colors Moisture Cream Lipstick range. I am reviewing the shade “Voluptuous” from the same range in this post.
Crazy about color – L.A. COLORS lipstick is available in a wide range of color options and two finishes – Matte and Cream. Color coordinated case featuring a modern, square design that has a glossy texture for the Cream formula and soft finish for the Matte formula. Both formulas leave lips feeling nourished and drenched in gorgeous color.
Price and Quantity:
395 INR for 3.5 gm.
My Experience with LA Colors Moisture Cream Lipstick Voluptuous:
The lipstick comes in a basic, black-colored plastic tube with a clear plastic cap. The side of the tube has the shade name written on it. The tube is color coded; this helps to easily spot the shade from makeup stash. The cap does not shut very tightly and may come off while carrying around. So, I have to be extra careful while carrying this lipstick to avoid any mess. Also, a small part of the lipstick peeps out of the tube, so a little care is required while removing/placing the cap to prevent the bullet from getting damaged. The shape of the lipstick bullet shaped helps to achieve precise application. Overall, the packaging is very ordinary.
“Voluptuous” is a plum brown shade. This color is suitable for most Indian skin tones. The color does not look top vampy or dramatic and looks nice on the lips. It does not look over the top and can be used for regular makeup looks. The brand claims it to be creme lipstick but the lipstick sets to a semi-matte kind of finish in some time.
It leaves a healthy sheen to the lips. The lipstick is average in pigmentation and it needs to be layered on for full coverage. Two-three swipes are required to build up the color on the lips. It is capable of covering pigmentation of the lips nicely. The color looks even and does not get patchy.
The texture of the lipstick is smooth. It does not drag on the lips. It does not highlight dry patches of the lips. The formula is comfortable to wear. It is not too lightweight but it is not very heavy either. I can still feel the presence of the lipstick on my lips. The lipstick is smudge-proof up to some extent. The formula is not heavily transferring but it does transfer a little. It survives normal sipping and light snacks easily but it fades away after a full meal. The lipstick is moisturizing and my lips do not feel dry. It keeps my lips hydrated for long.
The lipstick lasts for around 4-5 hours on my lips with a little fading. It can be easily taken off with a good makeup remover. It leaves a light stain on the lips but the same can be taken off easily.
